Who we are

Ctrl+Z (Control-Z Ministries) is a teaching and outreach ministry that equips the church and engages the spiritually curious. Online and in person, we create Bible-centered resources, model honest conversations, and point people to Christ with clarity and compassion.

Our Mission
To deploy passionate believers who can clearly define the gospel, confidently defend the gospel, and faithfully disciple others in the gospel.

What we believe

The Bible
The Old and New Testament are the Word of the living God that were written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit, therefore there are no mistakes in the original manuscripts. The Bible is also our supreme authority in every aspect of life and faith. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21;3:16; John 14:26; 16:12-13; 1 Timothy 5:18.

God
There is one God that eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Each one of these three persons is of the same nature, essence and has the same attributes, each one is fully and entirely God. Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Timothy 1:17; John 15:26; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

God the Son
Jesus Christ is the incarnation of God the Son, He is co-eternal along with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was born of the virgin Mary and conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit and He is truly God and truly man, holy and without sin. Matthew 1:18-20; Luke 1:35; John 1:-14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 7:26.

God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God. He convinces the world of sin, justice and judgement. He enables sinful creatures to believe the gospel. He also regenerates each believer once and for all, baptizes believers, seals and inhabits them permanently and grants them gifts which serve the purpose of edifying the church and testifying about Jesus. We hold a continuationist approach to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. John 16:7-11; Ephesians 4:30; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 5:16.

The Work of Christ
The death of Jesus was a substitutionary atonement for man. Because of the spilling of the blood of Christ, His corporeal resurrection and His ascension to the Father, He can offer salvation to everyone who believes and trusts in Him. Jesus intercedes in favor of believers. 1 Timothy 2:6; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6; 1 John 2:1; Hebrews 7:26.

Salvation and Security
Each person that proclaims saving faith in Jesus Christ is justified by his faith and not by works. That person is born again and declared just based on the sacrifice of Jesus. Those who have been redeemed are guarded by the power of God. John 1:12-13; Romans 3:21-28; 8:1,29-30, 34:2; Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 John 5:11-12.

Sanctification
Sanctification has been achieved by Christ for believers. Believers are positionally holy based on the work of Christ on the cross and live in progressive sanctification with the help of the Holy Spirit as they die to their flesh and battle fleshly desires, the world and the powers of the enemy. Ultimate sanctification will be granted at the coming of Jesus and the glorification. 1 Corinthians 1:2; Romans 6:6, 11-13; Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 1:7; 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 1 John 3:2

The Church
God has revealed Himself progressively throughout human history and has been making a people for Himself. The local and universal church began on Pentecost and represents the special purpose of God during the present age. The purpose of the church is to disciple others and grow numerically as well as spiritually. 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 1:6; 2:42; 11:15-16; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-25.
